A Small Group offers a safe place where 8-14 adults can know God better and love Him more through regular fellowship, Bible study, service, and prayer.
It is an environment where individuals are known, cared for, and encouraged in their relationship with God. Groups are ultimately about spiritual growth. We believe that a Christ-centered small group environment is a great place for individuals to build relationships with one another and grow in their faith together.
Small Groups are comprised of both married and single adults. Some groups form around age, stage of life, or geography. Other groups are not specific at all. There are evening groups on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

New to small group leadership? Interested in becoming a small group leader? Uncertain of the qualifications for facilitating community at River Oaks? If your answer is yes to any of these questions, please make plans to join us on Sunday, August 12th from 4 - 6pm for a time of training, information, simulation, and fellowship. We look forward to equipping more leaders to meet the growing demand of small group membership and to relieve the overcrowding in many of our "small churches." The Lord has gifted so many of our members with the gifts of teaching and hospitality, and even more importantly, the desire to grow alongside one another in the loving, learning, and living out of His Word. Please consider your calling to help connect many more to this life-giving pursuit. Childcare will be provided - please register online to assist us with material preparation and childcare coverage.
